This is an oil painting done by palette knife of the Swiss Alps.  One of our daughters spent the summer there.  Incredible views, so I hear.

View from the cottage at Oastler Lake

Copying Tom Thomson style, I decided there was no better way to portray the view from the cottage.  It measures 24" x 20".

Me and My Dystonia

This is my story...I have Dystonia.  It feels like I'm always playing Snakes and Ladders.  Going up the ladders are the Therapies that help and the snakes are the events that bring me back down.  Every day "is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get".  One day I feel pretty good, the next I can hardly move.  The poster measures 22" x 30".  I have started a blog of my journey with Dystonia.  Maybe writing about the trials, disappointments, accomplishments and goals is helpful in the healing process.  I am trying everything available to see what best works for me and am in the process of recording it so others can try.  Currently Biopuncture seems to have made the biggest difference, but the battle rages on.  Anyway, here is my blog, long as it is, up to the end of 2009. http://meandmydystonia-cathylynch.blogspot.com/   I will keep working at it, trying to add a little more humor and always adding things that pop into my memory that I had forgotten.  I should have kept a diary at the time, but day to day improvements are not visible, only year to year comparisons.  It is a journey.
